July a colour
for which I wish for more paint
finish my summer
hate is an ember
that burns only who holds it

by cabin four, sitting on a crooked step
forest sounds could be heard
trees whispering
brooks babbling on
birds fight for a sleeping spot
edge of the ocean
salt starts a craving for sea
comes to me in waves
the creature lurks when light flickers to dark
growling in the void
slashing at reality
dwelling in crevasses, damp, dirty, and soaked
drenched in bad, covered in wrong
broken and abandoned
