feeling deep inside
looking at a flurry sky
angels where I lie
tell autumn I said
orange, yellow, brown, and red
with fall I do wed
rain hits different
walking downtown on Fall nights
don’t even feel wet
perfect orange dusk
is when I take a deep breath
welcome October
brown, orange, and red
colours a palette of Fall
for painting Autumn
August is like this
perfect spot under a tree
all day to lie there
July a colour
for which I wish for more paint
finish my summer
edge of the ocean
salt starts a craving for sea
comes to me in waves
a little bird sits
on a wire wondering where
it shall fly to next
Caught the bus for my afternoon classes only to have them cancelled. What now? Oh, I know. Off to the university library I go. Where I spent almost all of my free time while on campus. It was a five-minute walk from my political science class and I used every second of it to get there. Soaking up the semester sun and atmosphere of an ordinary Wednesday late 1990’s.
