I Couldn’t Ash For More!

Hey everybody,

I hope you’re all having a Merry Christmas and I hope Santa was good to you. I did great this year. The big guy must had gotten my letter because I was blessed with a whole bunch of new writing stuff. Some gifts were anticipated, but I did receive a couple surprises. One awesome thing in particular that my fiance definitely surprised me with is also something that I’ve been completely addicted to it since I opened it.

The Elf All About Himself! (For the kids!!!)

Once upon a time,
there was an angry little elf.
Who thought of absolutely no one,

but of only himself.

He’s always so mad,
which made the other elves very sad,
with his complaints that work, work, work,

was all they ever had.

Even his friends,
would call him mean and selfish.
“Why are you not nice?”

Why are you not elfish?”

No matter what they say,
he swore he’d never listen,
because ending the holidays,

had become his evil elf mission.

A Shade of Ash # 4 – This Berry Moment

Hey everybody,

Well, well, well…look who it is? I’m sorry, I truly am, please forgive me as real life is a distraction to kill all creativity. Yup, this past week, ah…nutzo, once again. But hey? I survived, I’m here, and I’m ready to share with you lovely folks another Shade of Ash. This time, inspired by a walk. A walk I took yesterday in the foggy mist which got me thinking.

Betrayal

Between fact and failure
I lay face down in muddied water
Neck broken, heart still
My sweat unrecognized, salts cold blood
For I am left behind
just like others
find me beneath the gallows
…at first sign of weakness
they will sip their drinks, sip faster
at the feet of false gods
in the name of the blinding rich

Gone Ape

Guess what? I’m doing something right now that doesn’t make me want to fling poop at whoever walks by. It’s been a crazy week my friends, and if another day had passed without me posting, I would have gone completely “ape-sh*t”. This time thankfully, as you can see from the picture above it was only from the neck up. I promised myself that this weekend my top priority was to write. I need writing in my life just as much as I need air at this point. I hate it when real life gets in the way of my writing. Anyway, now that this week is finally behind me, let’s talk about the inspiration for this entry. Allow me to give you another glimpse of Earth to Ash which is brought to you by our good friend… STRESS!
