Thank you, reader. Thanks to every last one of you for being a follower of Earth to Ash. And to the digital passerby who for some reason found your screen with this small piece of the internet flAshing back at you…thank you, too. I don’t do these sorts of posts enough, I admit. Forgive me. But with this weekend being Thanksgiving weekend. It’s the perfect chance to acknowledge how grateful I am. For you. I would be a silent soul, lost for words. Your loyalty means everything.
Over these years, I have garnered some fruitful relationships with those who have reached out to me and who have been consistent cheerleaders to my words to the world. My writer friends get a special asterisk for the confidence they have bestowed upon me and the light they’ve cast in my direction. When I get that sort of validation, I get pumped. They sharpen my pencil for me. My drive is fueled by how much you give back to me in the form of your likes, shares, and comments. I’m humbled by your applause. I humbled by all the applause. By the way, I encourage all of you to say hi, writer or not. Don’t worry I know when the time is right, you just might someday. No pressure. But let me say that I welcome the opportunity.
It’s true, each time I get a notification, I give it all the attention. Sometimes it sticks with me for a while as I ponder what brought you there to that specific poem or story. I’m constantly in awe that people all over the world care, take time to read, and like what I have to say. It’s still amazes me. I check my stats almost daily and my following stretches around the globe. Something I would have never expected when I hit publish on my first blog post eight-ish years ago. It’s been an awesome journey, and I’m so glad you’ve chosen to walk alongside me this far. And, the best part is that there’s a lot further to go.
Yes, my faithful followers, when I get a random comment on a random post I smile instantly and an immediate good feeling runs through my body. Like adrenaline. It makes all of this worth it when it happens. As I have always said, which are the same words that remain on my about page to this day…
If you’ve read something I’ve posted and it makes you think, helps you channel a memory, inspires you or simply stirs up emotion, then, that for me is “Mission Accomplished!”

Lol, yes, the A was intentional. Anything with Ash hehe. And that post was for people like yourself who have reinforced my writing so much. And yes a traditional NL dinner with turkey being the highlight. Appreciate your kind words and take and thanks for being you.
