I walk this earth an alien
no place here for a castaway
surrounded all the time
still alone
My blood, it’s not like yours
it repels
it taints
it makes things you love disappear
My body, borrowed
prolonged
every day might not include a tomorrow
My heart, feels almost human
it beats
it longs
it loves
it breaks
My soul, I barely have left
for God?
for you?
for what?
Don’t wait for darkness
to show me the light
don’t dangle happiness so close to reach
don’t taunt my existence
for I might give it away to go back home
Good work as usual!

I love this. It has a quiet velvet draping over the distance and difference, with a soaring sky of darkness.

Thanks, Watt. That means a lot coming from you. I’m flattered, buddy. Appreciate you coming by and taking the time to comment.

The last line has me slightly worried. I hope you’re alright.
A powerful piece. Soul-wrenching

All good, just allowing the raw emotion come through. Thanks and thanks for being you!
